Help Bring Sustainable Innovation to Dutch Design Week 2024!

The deisgn+build consortium of studio akeka, Vinc Math Bamboo Consulting, and DBF are excited to announce the upcoming debut of the Trilix Bamboo Pavilion at Dutch Design Week 2024 (19-27 October). This pavilion, a visionary structure made entirely from bamboo, represents the future of sustainable design and circular architecture.

As a Partner member of the New European Bauhaus, our design/build consortium including studio akeka and Vince Math Bamboo Consulting, aim to inspire a new wave of sustainable urban development with bamboo as a rapidly regenerative material. Located in the heart of Ketelhuisplein in Eindhoven, the pavilion will showcase how nature can help create greener, smarter cities.

Why We Need Your Support:

We’ve built this pavilion to inspire change, but we need your help to make it a reality at DDW. Your donation will contribute directly to:

  • Completing the pavilion's sustainable construction.

  • Covering transportation, participation fees, and installation costs to skilled carpenters, artisans, and planners.

  • Raising awareness about bamboo’s potential in combating climate change and fostering innovation.

By supporting this project, you are not only funding a stunning piece of sustainable architecture but also empowering a movement toward a regenerative future. Every donation, big or small, helps bring this vision to life!

Land or Space to Grow?

To really grow, experiment, and research, we will need some land, or even a small space (25m2) to store our potted bamboo as well. We take gratitude in any way that you may be able to help us to establish our roots.
Thanks again for reading this far.

Special thanks and gratitude to the Wennersten, Krajenbrink and Woodcock families for your unwavering support.

Think costs for: architectural + engineering design, plot/permit/participation fees, accommodations, travel, materials, logistics, and to pay artisans, carpenters and planners a volunteer remuneration. Without a primary sponsor, your donation helps keep our operations going, like, by covering the expenses building the Trilix Bamboo Pavilion at Dutch Design Week!

We are committed to doing our part to decrease the climate footprint here in Europe. However, we can't do it alone, your help is imperative to help us get more roots into the ground and reaching for the sky.

As we increase our sense of urgency towards approaching the environment as one with humans, it is critical that people understand the existential issues of climate change and how forestry practices impact global health and ecosystems. Through sustainability research, education, policy and development, we can effectively address both environmental and economic challenges associated with resource use on land.
